Television Backlight
Overview

The TV backlight adjustment application uses hundreds of LEDs to replace the overall backlight. The backlight LEDs can be adjusted according to the brightness and darkness of the image, allowing the brightness of the bright areas on the display to reach a maximum while reducing the brightness of the dark areas, or even turning them off entirely, to achieve the best contrast. Reducing the brightness in dark areas also means lowering the power consumption of the backlight. The MCU-based local dimming solution consists of three parts: an FPGA or SOC, an MCU, and an LED driver IC. The SOC captures image signals and sends data to the MCU via the SPI interface, which processes the data and then controls one or more LED drivers via SPI.

• Built-in hardware acceleration engine for password algorithms, providing high security to ensure the safety of firmware code.
